This is your chance to turn your passion for climate action and organisational skills into a pay day! We're looking for a motivated Student Sustainability Assistant to join the team and make a real difference in the Business School.

  • Duration: 400 hours (until end of Sept 2026)

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Represent the Business School’s sustainability initiatives at open days, offer holder days, and other student-facing events through information stalls and presentations.
  • Liaise with internal sustainability groups, including Blueprint teams, to coordinate and align efforts.
  • Assist with the design, planning, organisation and support sustainability-focused events such as Sustainability Day and other awareness campaigns.
  • Create and schedule engaging communications content across a variety of channels (e.g., blog posts, social media updates, newsletters) for internal and external communications.
  • Contribute to reports by collating data from different sources within and outside the University.
  • Conduct literature reviews from academic and non-academic sources to support sustainability-related projects and initiatives.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of surveys and interviews to gather insights from students and staff.
  • Support maintenance of the Business School's sustainability webpages, ensuring content is current and engaging.

  • Open to current undergraduate or postgraduate student at LUBS - must also be available during September 2026 for Induction and Open Days.
  • Can evidence a genuine interest in and commitment to sustainability and environmental issues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Nice-to-Haves (But Not Dealbreakers)

  • Experience in event planning and public engagement
  • Skills in web content editing
  • Ability to manipulate, analyse and interpret qualitative and quantitative data
