Technology will play a large role in your time at the Business School, and the University has many different online systems and tools which you will need to use during your education. This page will show you where you can learn about the most important tools and be prepared for learning at Leeds!
Complete your registration
Before you can properly access all of the University systems, you will need to register as a student at the University of Leeds.
Most of the registration process can be completed online. You can read about how to register on the University registration pages.
Minerva
Minerva is your virtual learning environment at the University of Leeds. That means it is an online space where you will be able to access teaching content, submit completed work, read messages from your tutors, check your timetables... and lots more!
As you can probably tell, Minerva is one of the most important tools you will use during your degree. To help you get started, the University's Digital Education Service has a really useful set of Minerva guides.
IT Services
The University has a dedicated team of IT professionals to help students resolve problems, and to access University systems both at home and on campus.
Once you are registered as a student you will have full access to the IT Service website and a huge number of how-to guides. You can also request remote help through their site, or book an appointment to visit them in person.
As well as managing University systems and problem-solving, the IT Service can also provide free student access to essential apps such as Microsoft Office 365, and the online educational platform LinkedIn Learning.
