Graduate Outcomes Survey

What is the Graduate Outcomes Survey?

  • National Survey organised by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA).
  • Captures what Graduates are doing approximately 15 months after graduation.
  • Largest UK survey of graduate destinations, shaping league tables, TEF results, course design and careers support.

What will you be asked?

  • You’ll be asked about your employment status — whether you’re working, studying, or doing something else.

  • You’ll provide information about where you live, your employer, your job title, and the industry you’re working in.

  • You’ll also be asked to answer the Graduate Voice questions.

What are the Graduate Voice Questions?

The Graduate Voice questions are an important part of the Graduate Outcomes Survey. They ask you to reflect on how you feel about what you’re doing 15 months after graduation. These questions include:

  • Do you feel your current activity is meaningful?

  • Are you using the skills you gained during your studies?

  • Does your current activity fit with your future plans?

Your answers help build a picture of how graduates are progressing and whether university study is helping people achieve their goals.

What is the process?

  • You’ll be contacted by the University of Leeds in advance and asked to make sure your contact details are up to date.

  • You’ll receive an email directly from HESA, sent from a @graduateoutcomes.co.uk email address.

  • You’ll also get text reminders from ‘GradOutcome’ with a link to complete the survey.

  • You may get a call from ‘IFF Research’, who will make it clear they are calling on behalf of the University of Leeds.

  • The survey takes around 10-15 minutes to complete.
